Parties at Travel Town
Through the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation & Parks, you can host your next party or event at the Travel Town Museum in a beautifully refurbished train car or at one of our outdoor picnic areas located in our park.
All train car and picnic area rentals need to be made in advance.

Party Car Rentals
The Pennsylvania Dining Car (aka Brown Car) can comfortably accommodate 20-30 people.
The Southern Pacific Car (aka Green Car) comfortably seats between 30-40 people.
Rental Details
What’s Included:
The party car is equipped with tables, chairs, a refrigerator-freezer, air conditioner, and heater.
You can upgrade your reservation with an Engine Play Day through the Travel Town Museum Foundation which includes an additional area for children to play complete with a wooden train set and over 40 toy engines and cars so your guests can pretend to run their own railroad.
Fees:
The rental fee is $200.00 for 3 hours
Includes: $150 for basic rental and $50 refundable cleaning/ damage deposit
The 3 hour period includes your set up, party, and clean up time.
Cancellation fee is $75.00
In the event of rain at Travel Town on the scheduled day during operational hours, the reservation may be rescheduled on any other available calendar time without cancellation fee.

Picnic Area Rentals
Rental Details
What’s Included:
Each picnic area comes with 3 tables and 6 benches to seat up to 30 people and features 1 or 2 BBQ grills. Areas are either shaded by trees or a canopy structure.
Fees:
The rental fee is $100.00
Includes: $75.00 basic rental fee and a $25 refundable cleaning / damage deposit
Cancellation fee is $35.00
In the event of rain at Travel Town on the scheduled day during operational hours, the reservation may be rescheduled on any other available calendar time without cancellation fee.
